During the past fifteen years of being active in radio, media and my work with the Springbok Supporters Club, WP Rugby and Mr Tokyo Sexwale, I have been privileged enough to be the MC ( Master of Ceremonies ) at several events. These events have ranged from small to absolutely massive. I have learnt that there is an enormous difference between doing the is type of work effectively with a good end result for the brands, companies’ or individuals that have entrusted their events to me. There is a significant difference between doing this type of work at a golf day compared to a stadium with 50 000 screaming fans. The risks are high and you need to have to experience to make it work. Every venue and every audience is different and needs to be judged on merit and logistics, and quite often you need to think on your feet when called upon. When I do this type of work I will quite often have discussions with the organizers about the sound capabilities, the schedule of events, other celebrities or honored guests sponsors etc.... the list goes on. All of these things need to be taken into account when hosting an event, big or small. Many of these events are broadcast live to TV and together with the event itself it is critical to make sure that everything is well synchronized. This work takes skill and experience, being a radio or TV presenter no matter how successful in that environment, does not mean you are going to be automatically successful. Here is a list of some of the events I have MC'd.
The list carries on including various short presentations relating to business. I trust the above gives you an indication as to my qualifications and credibility, and will help you make an informed decision as to your requirements. Should you wish to discuss your event with me or hire me to ensure the success of your event. Here is a simple questionnaire to get the ball rolling.
